The new senior assessment and tertiary entrance system
Information, relevant updates and key dates about the new Senior Assessment and Tertiary Entrance (SATE) System for parents.
Missed exams and assessment extensions
Request for access arrangements and reasonable adjustments
All students are required to complete assessment and exams on the scheduled dates. If you are unable to attend
a scheduled exam or submit an assessment item on the due date, you need to
communicate with the school immediately with a valid reason to ensure that you
may still have the assessment counted towards your semester’s result.
Valid reasons are outlined in the Special Provision Policy.
If a student has missed an exam, or requires an extension to an assignment, please download the Request for AARA form and AARA Medical Report form on the right hand side of this page and follow the steps to complete.
Not contacting the
school is likely to see a student with a non-submit for the missed exam or
assessment item. This may mean that a student is not-rated for the
semester, which could have a significant impact on your pathway and ability to
achieve their QCE, or continued enrolment in subjects in the following
semester.
If you have missed an exam or require an extension please complete the Request for AARA form and AARA Medical Report form and attach your supporting documentation and forward to the Dean for Junior School (lwhit139@eq.edu.au), Dean for Middle School (pdbur0@eq.edu.au), or Dean for Senior School (rtitm0@eq.edu.au).
Scholarships
Each year, Year 12 students may apply for the Ingeborgm Elfriede Leibnitz
scholarship of up to $4000 to assist them in their tertiary studies. The
scholarship will be paid in two instalments each year for up to 4 years. The
scholarship is designed to support students with social or financial hardship.
The bursary was the legacy of Mr Graham Page who did a lot of work including
out of hours tutoring for our school for many years. Our oval is named after Mr
Page. When he passed away, he left his estate to his wife Inge who was more
than happy to leave her entire estate to the school, when she passed away. Inge
worked at CQU and was studying a degree when she passed away.
Yeppoon High
students were so thankful to Mr Page at the time that they delved into the
astrology charts and found a star in the universe that was not named. They did
a full authentication of that star and received the certificate, with the seal
of registration being awarded on 15/5/08 to show their appreciation of the
tireless work of Mr Page.
The Public Trustee office administers the
estate funds for the purpose of the ongoing scholarships being made available
to Yeppoon High graduates for many years to come.
Please download the form on the right hand side of this page and follow the steps to complete.
