Founded in 1969, Yeppoon State High School is a coeducational secondary public school for students from Year 7 to Year 12 and is located on the Capricorn Coast, 30 minutes by ferry from Great Keppel Island.
The school site is 14 hectare's and is well laid out with mature trees and gardens that offer outdoor eating areas and shaded spaces. In addition to 70 classrooms the school also has a library, two ovals, two sport and assembly halls, performing arts centre, music rooms, art rooms, two hospitality and manual arts centres, trade training centre, health hub, agricultural farm, five science laboratories, tuckshop and administration centre.
All teaching staff are fully qualified and share in the school's values of spirit, teamwork, accountability, respect and safety. Students are also supported by our Guidance Officers, Chaplain, Youth Support Workers, Nurse, Community Engagement Coordinator, and Vocational Education and Pathways Coordinator.
