Yeppoon is the major centre on the Capricorn Coast situated 42 Kilometres north east of Rockhampton.
With a population of approximately 25,000, Yeppoon, is one of the largest and fastest growing coastal communities in the state. Local industries include fishing, pineapples, forestry, and a thriving tourist trade with visitors from all over the world coming to enjoy this unique coastal and island playground.
About 15 minutes north of Yeppoon on a fully-sealed main road, you will drive through the State Pine Forests of Byfield to access the crystal clear waters of the three popular camping areas of the National Park, Stoney Creek, Red Rock and Waterpark Creek.
