Yeppoon State High School offers extensive curriculum choices. We have the full range of traditional academic subjects as well and Nationally Recognised Certificate Courses.

Check with your school for subjects you are required to study while in Australia.

If you are an international student enrolling through EQI, you will not be required to pay any subject fees as this is included in your enrolment fees.

Year 10

The following subjects will be undertaken by all students:

  • English
  • History
  • Health and Physical education
  • Mathematics / Mathematics extension
  • Science

Students will then choose 4 of the following subjects:

  • Agricultural Science Technologies
  • Woodwork
  • Metalwork
  • Digital Technologies
  • Drama
  • Economics and Business
  • Food Studies
  • Music
  • Visual Art

*An Instrumental Music Program operates within the existing subjects by students going to specialised lessons.

Year 11

Compulsory subjects 

  • General English 
  • General Mathematics/ Mathematical Methods

Elective subjects

Students can choose 4 of the following elective subjects:

  • Ancient History
  • Business or Business Studies
  • Modern History
  • Social and Community Studies
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Marine Science
  • Agricultural Practices
  • Aquatic Practices
  • Drama
  • Music
  • Visual Art or Visual Arts in Practice
  • Media Arts in Practice
  • Physical Education
  • Engineering Skills
  • Furnishing Skills
  • Hospitality Practices
