At Yeppoon State High School, the Resource Centre is a fundamental part of the teaching and learning process. The Resource Centre has two main roles, to promote reading for pleasure and to support teachers and students with research-based learning across the curriculum.
Dedicated staff in the Resource Centre help students develop their capacity to locate, evaluate, and apply information. Classes frequently visit to conduct research or seek out materials for pleasure reading. Students also use this space for individual and group study before school and during break times.
The Resource Centre is popular with students who enjoy its facilities. It provides an inclusive and supportive environment for students to learn, explore, communicate, interact and relax.
There is a comprehensive collection of over 10,000 up-to-date print resources. Access to these resources is provided through a library management system comprising the library catalogue, which can be accessed by every student.
