Young Change Agents Program

Yeppoon High took two teams through the Young Change Agents Program, designed around building entrepreneurial skill to develop social enterprises.

Although competition wasn’t the focus, each team had to ‘pitch’ their social enterprise idea to a panel of judges from our community - a ‘Shark Tank’ experience.

After much deliberation one of the Yeppoon High teams was declared the winner!

Huge congratulations to this team made up of year 10 students -Adrienne Codd,  Mitchell Coomber-Tomkinson, Samantha Walker, Alex Toolen, Shanella Braseiro and Anastasia Meier who were the overall winners with their Yeppoon Youth Group Enterprise Pitch.

Our year 9 team consisting of, Tara Kunkel, Alyssa Dadson, Chammie Tubil and Aimee Fitzgerald,  developed an amazing App idea called ‘Better Days’ which provides positive affirmations and calendar reminders for youth who are challenged by mental illness.

Both teams worked tirelessly over the week and were fantastic ambassadors for our great school. Congratulations!
