Laptop Technical Support for December School Holidays

Technical support for all laptops during holiday periods.

For Acer laptops
 

For technical support, all requests are logged directly with Acer.  There are two methods by which to log service requests.  They are:

  1. By phoning 1800 819 713

  2. Logging a job online using the www.acer.com.au/helpdesk

Phone requests can only be logged by school staff or parents. Please note, the Acer service centre is only available for DET-owned Acer devices. 1st warranty claim is $50, 2nd warranty claim $100 and subsequent claims $150. Non-warranty damage can be considerably higher.  eg a screen may incur a $257 fee.

For HP devices

For technical support, all requests are logged directly with HP. 

  1. Phone HP 13 10 47.  You will need to quote Yeppoon SHS/Education Queensland and your serial number located underneath the laptop, as well as the hardware fault.

  2. You shall receive a case number. 

  3. Contact Centre State Computer Maintenance ph: 07 4926 1900 to arrange a time for the repairs to take place.  Centre State Computer Maintenance are located at 67 Clifton Street, North Rockhampton, Qld, 4701. 

Lost/Stolen

For any stolen devices please contact your nearest police station to register the report.

 

For Dell devices

Students will be required visit the Student Services Centre (Library) before school or at am break on the day school resumes.  Students will need to complete an Incident Report Form before any work is carried out.

  2. Parents or guardians wishing to accompany their child during these advertised times, need to sign in at the Administration building.
