Yeppoon state high school learning support department is committed to helping students find and develop their strengths. Our premise is that every child is naturally curious and wants to learn.

In addition to providing specially adapted numeracy and literacy classes, we offer a range of alternative programmes that cater for multiple intelligences. These include electronics, where students learn about circuitry and create a variety of electronic projects; out door education, where students go orienteering, sailing, bush walking and canoeing; coffee shop, where students learn to use an espresso machine, handle money and serve customers in a real-life situations; revegetation and push bike maintenance we also offer additional academic support through a comprehensive tutor program, and a work experience plan specifically designed around our clientele.
